Our event aimed to enable businesses to share their flexible working journeys.
With four in five (82%) employers believing that offering employees flexibility in where and when they work is essential in attracting and retaining talent to meet future business needs - we had plenty of people keen to explore the topic.
Our speakers shared their journeys and we all had some really honest conversations...
We heard from three businesses (OxLEP, Holland Green Architecture and Stone Barrell) that were trialling or had adopted a four-day week. All said working smarter was key and all have seen staff happiness improve and profits go up 💪
We heard from Tech City Teams - a business with a fully remote working culture - and the importance of communication within the team (not to mention an amazing team Space Programme!🚀🙌 ).
And with the help of Joanne Haggas (HR Consultant), Megan Dawkins (Old Fire Station) and Emma McGregor (Bloxham Mill) we discussed part time teams, hybrid working and co-working spaces - and concluded that whether you're an employee or an employer - there is a no one-size fits all.
It felt like we could've spent the whole day at the brilliant Tap Social continuing to share ideas.
We've already been asked to put on a follow up event - so do let us know if you'd be interested in coming along to something similar - and we'll see what we can do!
